The FICO® Enterprise Security Score measures the likelihood that you will suffer a data breach in the coming 12 months. To deliver the FICO Enterprise Security Score, we access billions of external data points at internet scale and apply our analytics to give you an empirically derived score. You can measure the cybersecurity risk of your organization, or any organization you want to work with, to see the risk you are inheriting from your supply chain. We provide the information behind your cybersecurity score so you can see where you need to take action, and you can measure the effect of improvements on your overall cybersecurity posture.

Part 3 in our Partnering with Certainty Webinar Series, "Customer Demands at the Edge." As distributed edge environments become more critical, physical security becomes more important. Nobody would leave their data center wide open for anyone to enter, but that’s exactly how many organizations treat their edge computing sites. Often, they consist of a rack or two of gear in a non-dedicated location, perhaps a janitor’s closet, with little to no physical security. Fill out your information and click "Register" to watch the third event in our Partnering with Certainty Webinar Series, “Customer Demands at the Edge: Protect me from Downtime!” This webinar originally aired on November 9th, 2017. In this webinar, we discuss physical security best practices, including environmental issues such as temperature and humidity monitoring. We also update partners on the physical security features of the latest APC racks and the NetBotz line of security and environmental appliances, cameras and sensors.

The importance of information security and data protection is growing by the day for organizations. This is due to an evolving threat landscape and a higher adoption of internet dependent services, which, in the process of creating new opportunities, also lead to more vulnerabilities. As a consequence, national and international regulations are also changing according to the new challenges, calling for better preparedness. The new BCI Information Security Report 2017 sponsored by Mimecast looks to benchmark how organizations handle sensitive data and how resilient organizations are when it comes to data protection.

There’s no getting around it. Passed in May 2016, the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the minimum standards of the Data Protection Directive, a 21-year-old system that allowed the 28 EU member states to set their own data privacy and security rules relating to the information of EU subjects. Under the earlier directive, the force and power of the laws varied across the continent. Not so starting May 25, 2018.

As organizations and workplaces evolve, less control is exercised over devices, services, and people, leading to a gap with traditional security tools. Identity not only becomes the critical control point, but the information stemmed from it can be leveraged to strengthen existing processes as well as integrate with other security investments. Join this webinar to learn why identity isn’t simply just a "first step" but also the foundation modern security should be built on. Then explore what characteristics a strong authentication solution should include as we demo Okta’s Adaptive MFA solution.

Achieving and maintaining a high level of information security requires information security professionals with robust skills as well as organisational, technical and operational capabilities. The gap between intent and ability to be secure is evident in our sample of UK large enterprises. Deficient companies will only close that gap when they acquire the necessary capabilities. Some of these capabilities can be purchased as information security tools or application solutions, but it is more prudent for an organisation to consider acquiring these capabilities through a service arrangement with a dedicated security services partner.

Despite long-standing concerns captured in a myriad of surveys, security in the cloud has progressed to a more practical and achievable level. The cloud represents a shared security responsibility model whereby that responsibility is split between the Cloud Service Provider and the cloud customer. For organisations moving some or all of their applications and data to the cloud, acceptance of this model clears the way to more thoughtful consideration for how security can and should be architected — from the ground up. As a result, IT and IT Security leaders now have a much clearer trajectory to support their business operations in the cloud in a secure manner.

Technical Tests are designed to cover specific services. Each security test has its own objectives and acceptable levels of risk. There is not an individual technique that provides a comprehensive picture of an organisation’s security when executed alone. A qualified third party can work with you to determine what combination of techniques you should use to evaluate your security posture and controls to begin to determine where you may be vulnerable.

GDPR will pose different challenges to each organisation. Understanding and acting on the implications for your own organisation is vital. That means taking a risk-based approach to ensure that you are doing what you need to do to manage your own specific risks to personal information. While virtually all organisations will have to implement changes to become GDPR compliant, some will be able to take partial advantage of existing compliance to other security mandates and frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and PCI by extending those measures to protection of personal data. Even so, further work will be required to comply with GDPR, both with regards to security and its other aspects.
